Losing a friend is always a sad occasion, but they always exist in our memory.
We have lost another ex-firefighter. Marvin Worley after a brief illness, passed away on August 4, 2003 at
the age of 75 years. He was the owner of Cal Construction Company in San Leandro and worked for many years as a general contractor.
He spent many of his retirement hours fishing at Lake Pillsbury. He is survived by his daughter Patty Cecil of Zenia, CA and
his long time companion, Bea Kiely and numerous friends.
On Saturday Feb. 21, 2004 David Eugene Smith passed away. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy. He was
the 52 year old son of Ruffus Allen Smith. His mother Betty and Sister Dawn Are still living in San Lorenzo at 1486 Buena
